Sona School of Management has various club activities to promote organizing skills, leadership skills and event management skills among students. The clubs are formed based on the specializations that the students choose during their MBA program. The clubs are

Finance club


Objectives:
To Support the FC members in understanding the interconnected structure of the financial concepts and operations of the financial markets. 
Making the members strong in the fundamentals and clear in the broad structural view of the financial system, FC helps in micro specialization of the members in the areas of Banking, Share markets, Insurance, corporate Finance.

Organizing activities such as Debates, Executive Interaction, News analysis and presentation, Group Games are periodically conducted to serve its members.
To provide a platform for the members to express their ideas and create a knowledge resource among its members, FC has a blog “sonafinanceclub.wordpress.com”, in which members have initiated to contribute with their own articles.

To keep the members updated with the financial concepts and news, FC utilizes the SMS mode of educating members by sending news and concepts everyday, which is well received among its members.

 

Marketing club


Vision:
To inculcate marketing knowledge that empowers students to provide thought provoking solutions for the needy.
Objectives:
Marketing club aims to provide a platform for experiencing marketing practically.
It will conduct activity on a weekly basis to encourage students to learn marketing.
Club aims to conduct competitions to motivate young minds and prepare them for the job market.
Marketing club will constantly update the recent happenings in the global arena of business.


HR club


HR Club Overview
HR club in Sona has been a dream comes true for the HR domain people. This HR club has been evolved out of numerous ideas and hard work of many people. A club can be created easily but sustaining and growing with time is a difficult task. A club would be proving to be an effective one only when it serves the purpose of its creation and existence and also brings about sustainable development of all its stakeholders i.e. provides benefits to all.

Objectives of HR Club

  • To provide knowledge about the current trends in HR. 
  • To produce more employable and efficient HR students of MBA.
  • To bring out and develop innovation and creativity among the students of HR.

 

Production club


Production club Objectives


1. To gain practical exposure by visiting various industries. 
2. To upgrade their knowledge by interacting with industry/subject experts  through guest lectures and interactive sessions. 
3. To gain insight from the simulation games conducted during production workshops.

Organized 6 hours guest lecture in the area of supply chain management by  Prof.Dr.S.Ramesh.

Organized guest lecture on Post office Operations – Mr.S.Vijayanand , Operations Head,  Salem Suramangalam Post Office
Arranged exclusive Inter- College Production workshop on World Class Manufacturing by Dr.R.Chandrasekaran, certified six sigma black belt, best industrial trainer- a presentation and activity based workshop consisting  of 60 participants.

 

Systems club

The systems club is named as FLITZEN. The activities include presentation, quiz programs and group discussion on the latest technologies and software programs that help business houses.
