Dr. A.Rajagopal MBA, M.Tech., Ph.D.

Dr. A.Rajagopal graduated with honours in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in the year 1984. He has completed his post graduation at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and obtained M.Tech in Industrial Management. He also holds a MBA degree from National Institute of Technology, Thiruchirappalli. His teaching and research interests are in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He holds a Doctoral degree in Management Sciences from Anna University.

He has worked as Engineer / Sr. Engineer in the area of Project Management at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.,) for a period of 8 ½ years. He started a business venture and has been Managing Partner of a small partnership firm in Goods transportation for five years(1995-2000).  He has successfully executed a forwarding contract with TANCEM (Tamil nadu cements corporation limited) during 1997-99.

Subsequently, he took up a teaching assignment at College of Engineering, Anna University and  has been involved in teaching the MBA students for three years. He later moved onto BITS-Pilani and was involved in teaching Supply Chain Management, Quantitative Techniques, and Management Information System for the students at MBA level for a period of 1 ½ years. He was also involved as a guest faculty with BITS-Pilani, Chennai Centre in its M.S (Off-Campus) programme at Technip (India).
