Sona College gives rousing reception to MBA Students

The first-year students of MBA courses for the academic year 2019-2020 were welcomed at Sona College of Technology on Wednesday, 11th September, 2019. While the Director of MBA, Dr. Swarup K Mohanty welcomed the gathering, he spoke about the smell of the organizations and how the students must get ready to analyze it and act accordingly through their skills. Chairman of Sona Group of Institutions, Shri. C. Valliappa presided over the function. In his presidential address, Shri. C. Valliappa stressed the importance of skill development through communication, smart work and societal consciousness. He also spoke about the need to focus on research. The Chief Guest address was delivered by the head of Talent Acquisition, JSW Global Business Solutions Ltd from Mumbai, Vivek Trivedi. His speech served as an eye opener for all the students and it served as a great lesson to the students so as to how passion, focus and efficient use of the available resources can be inevitable for every student’s success. That served as an apt Chief Guest address. Principal of Sona College of Technology, Dr. S.R.R. Senthil Kumar delivered a motivating special address which served as a source of strength for the students and parents. He explained the various facilities provided in the college premises. Later, parents and students were briefed on academic infrastructure, curriculum design and placements in the college. The event ended with an interesting query session, where the students actively participated and received self- authored books from the Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Vivek Trivedi, as a token of motivation and encouragement. Dr. P. K. Anjani, Chair, Admissions, MBA proposed the vote of thanks for the event. The inauguration of the 22nd batch of MBA programmes had a huge response and ultimately the ceremony ends on a hopeful note.
