NSE Academy Limited (NAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), has signed an Agreement with Sona School of Management, a unit of Sona College of Technology, Salem, to establish NSE SMART – a simulated trading lab – in Sona’s campus.
The trading lab will provide hands-on experience in Capital Markets for the students of Sona School of Management and allied institutions. This arrangement will help students in building analytical capabilities and strong decision-making skills without any financial risk. Sona is the first institution in the city to set-up such a facility for creating an experiential learning for its students.
The lab was inaugurated, virtually, on August 18, 2021, in the presence of Mr. Abhilash Misra, Chief Executive Officer – NSE Academy, and Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman – Sona Group of Institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abhilash Misra congratulated Sona Group of Institutions for thinking futuristic and taking up initiatives to upskill students. He encouraged the students of the institution to take active participation in the capital markets – both in terms of investing and pursuing careers.
Mr. Thyagu Valliappa highlighted that the association with NSE Academy was enabled through the Sona Garage Incubation facility. The institute is keen on developing its students into entrepreneurs and has successfully facilitated several start-ups and family businesses.
The NSE smart trading virtual platform is going to help students trade in a live environment and get hands on experience.
