The Students of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) department from Sona College of Technology, Salem have conducted a study, motivational and skill development program at the Salem central prison. This study is part of the curriculum for MBA students.
In which a group of 13 students and 2 faculties have done a study under the guidance of the Head of the Department (HOD)-MBA and with the help of prison official to access the quality of life of prisoners and their chances of reintegration into society.

We thank the Department of Prisons, Tamilnadu for providing permission to conduct the study in the Central prison of Salem. Our sincere thanks to Thiru T. Tamilselvan -Superintendent of Prison, Thiru T.Madhivanan -Jailor, Thiru M.Anbalagan -Welfare Officer, Thirumathi Vaishnavi .K- Psychologist, Counsellors, and other Prison officials at Salem Central Prison, Salem.
The study is titled “A study on quality of life and reintegration into society with special reference to Salem central prison inmates “. The primary data was collected through the interview method. We interviewed 320 inmates of the prison with a structured questionnaire related to the various factors of quality of life inside the prison under the guidance of the Superintend of Police, Welfare officers, psychologist, Counsellors, and other officials of the Salem central prison. The secondary data related to the study was collected through prison officials, various Journals, Magazines, Reports, Media, etc. We also conducted management games related to business skill enhancements for the inmates of the prison.
